First Visit: What to Expect

First off, WELCOME! Whether it is your first time visiting KCFB or you come regularly, we want you to feel comfortable.

THE PROCESS:
You will need to stay in your car and line up for service. Those who arrive early may find the entrance on River Road open. Later that entrance may be blocked off with traffic cones, which will require you to use the Cummings Lane entrance. Just line up with the other cars in the lot.

A friendly volunteer will come to your car to register you. If you are new, you will be given a Link2Feed form to fill out. You can fill it out while you wait or return it on your next visit. This form allows us to provide you with a Link2Feed number. You will need this number on future visits.

Your volunteer will also give you a “menu” which is a list of items we typically have for distribution. You should CROSS OFF items you do not want (front and back sides). Be sure to provide the number of people in your family on the form where requested. This information is important to the volunteers who fill your order.

After you are registered, just stay in your car and move forward as the line moves. Behind the scenes, a volunteer will take your “menu” and will fill your order. They first go through the canned food pantry then progress through fresh vegetable table, the miscellaneous table, and the bread table.

The last stop is the freezer room for frozen foods and refrigerated foods. Finally, your volunteer will bring the filled cart to load into your car. All done! Drive home and enjoy!
